Good start to the week got up really early so it was still really dark so went on the net for a while and started reading about walking with weight vests and how it increases calerific burn and therefore weight loss.
Remembered that I had a weight vest in the loft and went and got it. I decided to give it a try.
I took out half of the weights so that the vest is now 5kgs which makes my weight with the vest 100.4kgs.
I imediately noticed the difference while walking and was dying halfway up the first part of the hill and my legs were really burning, by the end of the walk I was sweating really badly and nearly dying and I was so glad that I had taken the 5kgs out. Every time I picked up the stick to throw I felt my legs burn a bit more.
I waked for 46.25 minutes walking 2 miles and climbing 632ft with an average pace of 24:21/mile.
I have just started the second faze of my training that I was supposed to start last week. I will be doing the following:
2 footed skipping with no weight vest (3x1min)
Squats with 5kg weight vest (3x20)
Pushups no weight vest (3x10)
Stepups 5kg weight vest (3x20)
Plank with no weight vest (3x1min)
Lunges with 5kg weight vest (3x20)
Crunches no weight vest (3x20)
Calf Raises with 5kg weight vest (3x20)
Back Extensions no weight vest (3x20)
Wall Squats with 5kg weight vest (3x1min)
I have also worked out that my rest week (week4) will fall on Carnival here in Brazil and I will be at the beach so that worked out really well.
My weigh in today was 95.4kgs and 29.8% bodyfat
