26/01/15

Good start to the week got up really early so it was still really dark so went on the net for a while and started reading about walking with weight vests and how it increases calerific burn and therefore weight loss.

Remembered that I had a weight vest in the loft and went and got it. I decided to give it a try.

I took out half of the weights so that the vest is now 5kgs which makes my weight with the vest 100.4kgs.

I imediately noticed the difference while walking and was dying halfway up the first part of the hill and my legs were really burning, by the end of the walk I was sweating really badly and nearly dying and I was so glad that I had taken the 5kgs out. Every time I picked up the stick to throw I felt my legs burn a bit more.

I waked for 46.25 minutes walking 2 miles and climbing 632ft with an average pace of 24:21/mile.

I have just started the second faze of my training that I was supposed to start last week. I will be doing the following:

2 footed skipping with no weight vest (3x1min)
Squats with 5kg weight vest (3x20)
Pushups no weight vest (3x10)
Stepups 5kg weight vest (3x20)
Plank with no weight vest (3x1min)
Lunges with 5kg weight vest (3x20)
Crunches no weight vest (3x20)
Calf Raises with 5kg weight vest (3x20)
Back Extensions no weight vest (3x20)
Wall Squats with 5kg weight vest (3x1min)

I have also worked out that my rest week (week4) will fall on Carnival here in Brazil and I will be at the beach so that worked out really well.

My weigh in today was 95.4kgs and 29.8% bodyfat

25/01/15

Weigh in this morning wasn´t too bad considering how little exercise I have done this week. I wa 95.4kgs and 32% bodyfat.

I am starting to think that my scales are a little crazy as I have definately trimmed down a lot in the last month and according to my scales I have put on 2% bodyfat.

I can see the difference in my face (lack of chins) and my arms and legs are much more defined. I have also dropped about 2 inches around my waist as all my shorts are falling down if they are not ties up now and before they were fine.

This morning I walked with my dogs and my niece who was staying with us. Walked for 1.01:33 and covered 2.1 miles and climbed 579 ft. My medium pace was slower as my niece only had flip flops which slowed her down a lot.

Was working this afternoon at bought a 600ml bottle of coke and drank it so a bit pissed off with myself.

I am planning to get up earlier tomorrow moring to give me time to double my walk to 4 miles and I am alsogoing to start my training program that I was supposed to start last week.

woke up late again so didnt weigh in.

Walked the dogs for maybe 1km but forgot to put gps on.

23/01/15

Woke up late today so didnt weigh in or walk.

22/01/15

Forgot to weigh in today and my gps crashed and I lost my walk!

I walked for about 45 minutes and did my usual route which is 2 miles and climbing 694ft.

21/01/15

Didn´t walk today as I was working from early.

Weigh in was 96.5kgs and 32.5% bodyfat.

20/01/15

Walked with the dogs today for 38.47 minutes. Did a shorter route today as I still wasnt feeling too good.

Also didn´t work out today or play basketball as my ankle was hurting as well.

Weigh in today was 95.2kgs and 32% bf.

19/01/15

Weigh in today was 95.6kgs and 31.3% body fat.

Didn´t walk today as I was up most of the night with a stomach bug so was feeling rough.

Also didn´t start my workouts for the same reason.

18/01/15

Was feeling a bit rough after 3v3 yesterday so I had a lie in and therefore didn´t walk or weigh in.

17/01/15

Walked the dogs for 46:13 minutes, walked 2 miles and climbed 694ft.

Weigh in was 95.3kgs and 30.3% bodyfat.

Also played 3v3 basketball for an hour and a half at a friends house and it was really hot so sweated loads.

16/01/15

Weigh in today was 95.7kgs and 30.6% bf.

Walked with the dogs for 46.34 minutes. Covered 2 miles and climbed 696 feet. Medium pace for the walk was 23.24 miles per minute.

Had 2 glasses of coke today and 1 can of lemonade.

I have just been looking back over the first 16 days of the year and my new years resolutions havent been going so well. I have drunk coca cola 2 days in the last 16 days which isnt too bad considering but its 2 more than I was planning. I have also missed walking the dog 8 of the 16 days (half!!!!). I havent been skating this year yet as it has been way too hot and I have only played basketball twice so far!. I also havent done any workouts yet!

I have just put together faze 2 of my jump training program which I will start on monday. I have split weight training and plyometrics into seperate days with weight training on monday, wednesday and fridays and Plyometrics on tuesdays and thursdays.

Woke up late today and had to take one of my dogs to the vets so didn´t walk today or weigh in.

 

14/01/15

Walked again today for 47.54 minutes. Walked 2 miles and climbed 690ft.

Weigh in was 95.7kgs and 30.6% bf.

Was bad today and drank 3 glasses of coke!

Also went on a 30 minute trail ride on my brother in laws trail bike. I went on my routes that I walk to open up the trails a bit more as the grass is now shoulder height and a bit sketchy from a snake point of view. Especially as I walk with headfones and music on so I will not hear a snake!

Walked with the dogs this morning for 46.19 minutes. Walked 1.9 miles and climbed 693 feet.

Weigh-in was 95.7kgs and 29.2% BF

11/01/15

Didn´t wake up again this morning I was feeling a bit rough and slept until 9:30 which is really rare for me.

My weigh inb was good a 95.7kgs and 30% bf.

At 10:30 I went to the club with my wife and son.

I shot free throws for an hour making 100 shots. I then played 2v2 for around an half hour and then 1 v 2 (me being the 1) for about 1.5 hours.

Didn´t walk with the dogs today as I had to work at 7:30am.

09/01/15

Even though I was a bit hung over I still managed to get up and walk this morning. Walked for 1 hour and 16 minutes and walked 2.9miles and climbed 925 ft.

Weigh in was 96.6kgs and 32.6% bf which is better than expected and I drank a lot last night and ate even more!.

Next week I am going to start jump training again as my legs are feeling much stronger I plan to do shorter walkes on monday, wednesday and fridays and do the long walks on the other days.

Woke up early and walked with the dogs although had to cut the walk short to make sure that I got home in time for my wife to go to work.

Walked 2.1kms in 47.22 minutes and climbed 562ft.

As it was my birthday I treated myself to a can of coke with my dinner.

Weigh in was 96.4kgs and 31.2% bodyfat.

Was working today so didnt have a chance to walk or do my weigh in.

06/01/15

Walked the dogs at 6:30 this morning and got a bit carried away. Walked 3 miles in 1 hour 14 minutes and climbed 1000 ft. Walked so far the dogs were totally knackered and lying down all the time.

My weigh in today was 96.1kgs and 30.8% body fat.

05/01/15

Got up early and worked for an hour from 5:30 til 6:30 then took the dogs for a 43 minute walk. We walked 1.8 miles and climbed 539 feet in elevation.

Cut the walk short as My ankle was sore from playing with my son yesterday where he jumped on me and as I stumbled forwards I stepped on his foot and twisted my ankle with all his bodyweight pulling me forwards. To make matters worse I strained by knee slipping as I walked down the hill!!!!!

Because of the injuries I am going wait another week to start jump training again as I dont want to over do it and risk more injuries.

I am supposed to be playing basketball this afternoon by I am now not sure if I will or not.

My weigh in today was positive as I manged to go the whole weekend without exercise and not put on weight.

Weight was 95.7kgs and body fat was 29.9%

Was planning to get up early this morning and do lots of exercise however I managed to sleep through my alarm and was woken up about 9am by my son!!

After playing with him for about an hour I had to start working so I wasn´t able to do any exercise at all!!!

My weigh in today was 95.7kgs and 31% bodyfat

Still not drunk any coke this year which is good as went to a barbeque after I finished work and I was offered coke various times.

I am starting to get the bad stomach that I always get when I give up coke...

Didn´t exercise again today as I had to do a server migration that started at 7:30 am and finished at 17:00.

Going to make up for the last 2 days of inactivity with a really long walk with the dogs in the morning and then basketball for an hour followed by a motorbike ride.

Didnt get a chance to weigh myself either.

02/01/2015

Didn´t exercise today as I had to take our friends back home this morning so another 300km round trip!

On the way back my son and I stopped in Burger King and I had a double wapper with cheese but was good and didnt have coke much to my son´s disgust.

My weigh in was good I actually lost 1kg on new years day :-) my weight was down from 96.8kgs yesterday to 95.8kgs this morning. My body fat was also down to 29.6%.

This must be a record as I have broken one of my resolutions on the second day!!! At least it my main resolution of drinking coke,

Woke up at 7am and went for a walk with the dogs to get rid of the JD and Coke still in my system!

Did 1.8 miles climbed 687ft and it took 46 .39 minutes to complete.

The first weigh in of the year was 96.8 kgs and 29.8% body fat.

Didn´t do any other execise for the rest of the day as I had to drive 300km to pick up some freinds and bring them here then we had a party all after noon where I only drank sprite!!!!
